I want to know why a cat will ignore clean water in his bowl, but go outside to drink out a mini pond with green water and snails in it 😒

A cat being this one. Who has also discovered we like to go for walks some nights so has decided to hide until we get near then follow us from a distance, which is nerve wracking when there are cars around!

And this is "Hello treat lady. Just so you know I am staying in your chair until you get that bag of delicious yumminess I am totes not addicted to from out of the hidey spot, conveniently next to this chair and only then will I move"

He does that a lot but mostly sits on my laptop keyboard. And its everytime I bring food in, first his head comes out of his box on his cat tree, followed by the rest of him and he just sits there and looks at me patiently. Unless its licky treats then he is licking my hand before I get the pack open.

I have no idea because I don't own a cat 😥 But I would absolutely 🧡 one. My Mum says I can't have one because their litter boxes stink and she is slightly allergic to them.
