First round of judging

“Contestants, for the first round you are going to be creating your favorite chicken meal,” says the host. “You have 45 minutes to create the best chicken meal and your time starts now!” 

The four of them make a mad dash to the pantry to get everything that they will need to prepare a chicken dinner. Yeti goes for the fried chicken, French fries and a side salad. Tiffi goes for buffalo chicken wings, Kimmy chooses grilled chicken over rice and Jenny chooses roasted chicken.

Well so far so good! The four of them are managing to prepare the food in a timely manner. 

“Contestants, you have 5 minutes left!” says the host.  

Yeti looks at the clock ticking down and he knows that he has to hurry up. 

“You better start plating,” says the host. “Only10 seconds left to go …………. 10, 9, 8, ………..1. Times up! Now let’s hear from the judges.”

“The fried chicken is perfect”, says the first judge. The other two judges agree with him. 

“I really liked the buffalo wings, but they are a bit too spicy,” says the second judge. One judge agrees and the other disagrees thinking that it’s perfect! 

“The grilled chicken over the rice, chicken has some nice spices,” says the third judge. One agrees but the other says that the rice is over cooked and not enough salt on the chicken. 

They all agree that the roasted chicken has just the right amount of salt. One judge eats all of it. 

“Tiffi, if you are the winner, what will you do with the cash reward?” questions the host. 

“Well I thought that I would help out the citizens of the Candy Kingdom,” says Tiffi. “With this COVID-19 virus, a lot of them are out of work. They don’t have enough money to pay the bills and buy food. Unemployment was just cut, so I would like to help them with some of their bills.” 

“What a wonderful idea,” says the host. “Let’s move on to the second round!”
