The two of them head back to the hotel to relax. They will check out tomorrow morning. It has been quite a day for them. Rachel is still on a high from winning. Rancid tells her that it might not be a good idea to take her pumpkin home because now that it has been cut it’s going to start rotting. Rachel agrees with him. When they get back to their room Rancid feels a bit safer showing Rachel the clown that was standing in the picture with them.
“Rachel, I didn’t want to tell you what was going on when I took the group picture,” says Rancid. “A creepy clown jumped into the picture. Of course, he was just clowning around but if you would have noticed him you would have screamed so loud! That’s why I had to take a second group picture.”
She looks at the pictures and is very happy that he didn’t tell her this earlier. Rachel starts thinking about when to tell Rancid that she’s ready. Without realizing it, the words come out of her mouth.
“Rancid, can we talk for a minute?” Rachel says. “I’ve been thinking about your proposal and I want to tell you that I am now ready to marry you.”
Rancid looks at her and can hardly believe that he heard her right. Yes, Rancid, the love of your life has gotten to know you very well and she adores you beyond anything else in life. She wants to get married.
He hugs her and showers her with kisses. It’s not something that he expected to hear today. She is really serious! Now he can’t wait to get home to put the ring on her finger and to call all their friends to let them know.
