Dwarf planet CERES now in retrograde til mid-January, can be found below & to left of Alderbran, the brightest star of constellation Taurus
Planet Uranus is best seen after midnight shinning blue-green and is surrounded by bright stars
1st quarter moons, like on the 12th. Can always be seen during the day
16th...Venus is about a thumb width from Antares who shines red & is the brightest star in the Scorpious constellation
18th. Jupiter leaving retrograde, shines bright white on eastern side of constellation Capricornious, while on western side Saturn shines bright yellow
20th.Hunters moon -full moons in October shine near the constellation of Pisces
25th. View Mercury at greatest elongation west. in the morning sky best time as its furthest from sun
29th.. Venus greatest elongation east.
30th..may be able to make out the Andromeda Galaxy conveniently the constellation Cassiopeia forms an arrow with its 3 most western stars pointing towards it
31st.. star Algol "glowing eye of Medusa" can noticeably be seen dimming and brightening.
Also,for anyone with telescope.. should be able to see Jupiter's moons pass in front of the giant planet afew times this month.
