I've been having this problem since last night, and now it's 4PM. I lost my streak and some boosters before I realized this was happening. I won't play again until I'm sure I can connect to my gold bars.
Sometimes the game glitches and resets mid-board, and I lose my streak boosters. But this is beyond the pale. When we are all experiencing the same thing, it's a problem with the game.

There are many players that are experiencing issue with the Store on their Kindle Fire devices. This issue was reported to the game Studio and they are investigating it.

when King contacts Amazon, they need to use the term Fire Tablet and not Kindle. Kindle Fires were only sold from 2011-2013 when they were renamed Fire Tablets. It's possible that the only answer the person contacting Amazon might get is "Kindles don't run apps (they don't)"
that said, I still can't make in-app purchases on my Fire for two days. Seems like King is losing a lot of potential income from in-app purchases.
