Iβm not a super high level, but these are just a few things Iβve picked up along the way. Maybe theyβll still be helpful to someone new to the game, or just anyone struggling.
1) Donβt spend too much time focusing on building bigger damage/plays, one move can make them all blow up before youβre ready. Sometimes simplicity is more valuable than bigger moves..
2) Be sure to watch all the pieces & try to stay a few steps ahead of your current move! Anticipate how it he pieces will fall and be mindful that youβre unaware of what will be dropping next from the top.
3) If you run out of moves but only need 3 or less, save your gold bars & just watch an ad! I had wasted so much gold by not paying attention to that option, simply bc I donβt like watching ads. I also hate losing on a level, especially when thereβs only a few more moves needed! Check your board, sometimes the last few jelly tiles can be hit with just one move. Though it may be helpful to have special pieces automatically blow up, and save you moves, it can also be pretty frustrating bc it may not be as beneficial as the way you had planned it out. Not to mention all the moves you used trying to prepare/line them up for a specific tactic, and then didnβt even get to use it how you planned.
4) If you need to do something between levels, going to the kitchen or restroom, etc, watch an ad for a booster. Your phone will be idle anyway, may as well have it doing something that will help you either in the next level or later on!
5) Pay attention to the difficulty of the level before pushing play. If itβs labeled as hard, super hard or nightmarishly hard, watch an ad before playing it. Itβs better to spend 30 seconds to invest in an extra boost that you may or may not need to beat the level than to lose your current streak & boosters! You may still lose the level the first time, but at least then youβll have a better idea of which of your booster(s) to choose that you already have on hand, before starting the game.
6) If youβre on a level with chocolate thatβs already placed on the board, itβs best to get those cleared as quickly as possible. Itβs MUCH easier to work with a full board, free of spawning chocolate, than to have the board filling up with it while youβre focused on trying to complete your goal!
7) Remember that a lot of the game is based on chance & luck! Last week, I had a streak of 32 levels. I advanced quite a bit in that one day, but since then (and tbh- most of the time), I havenβt had such luck! Now Iβm doing good to have a streak of 4-5 levels. So patience is required to play this game. If youβre not doing so well & getting frustrated, just take a break for a bit. Maybe your luck/chances will be better the next time. You tend to focus & do better when youβre not frustrated.
