No longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives - Information and feedback

Dear community,

I'd like to share with you some information in regards to a god old known issue of the game:

as you may be aware, when we access a level, we don't use any move and we exit the level without playing it, we don't lose any life.

This behaviour was not intended since the very beginning and very soon, this issue is going to be fixed.

That means that, once it's fixed, if we access a level to check it out, we don't do anything and we decide to exit the level to go back to the map, we will be losing a life.

Hi there, @WatchMEcRush21!

I played Level 5363 way back on October 1, 2019. The moves back then was 34 not 37. I completed this level in 20 moves. I am sure if that if I can do it, you can to. Below is the YouTube Video of my Completed Level 5363. The next levels following this will be much harder. In this video, I have suggested levels that you can click on to get there.

Another lousy board where the boosters failed me with one life left! On top of that, I had a timed booster for fish that ran out right before I opened this level so I could not back out. I ran out of moves with 25 jellies left!

Everybody’s progress as slowed because this 🤬 “fix!” We are no longer spending any more money as a result. I just hope for the newcomers in this game that they do not spend any money either. If King/Activision want to move away from their flagship, that is just insane for me to think that. I tried playing CC Friends last year and to me it is the same as CCS but you do not have the board reset to start. At least for me, I will never play another King game other than CCS.

Wake up and realize that you messed up this game for the Community. I know that in this thread that it’s frowned upon to use the word “you,” but the silence is deafening. Everyone knows you cannot finish a level on Candy Crush unless the randomness let’s you win. The more you spend and use boosters the more the randomness will be in your favor

The only leveling factor which makes playing remotely fair is allowing the player to choose how the start the level. Take this away (like not allowing a shuffle which was also tried for a while) and the entire gameplay is in the hands of the randomness.

Whether or not this “feature” was ever intended, it is not fair to players to take it away now. This move was obviously made to generate more money for King but it makes me want to play less and spend less money. If you want to admit the move is just to make money that is one thing, but if you are smart you will reverse this decision and make the playing somewhat fair.

@Ledalasvegas, perfectly said. Why listen to an egotistical sped-nothing-on-free-game players. I have spent money on this for my SATISFACTION of finishing a level that has become way too frustrating. It’s a silly game, but I’ve switched to Lily’s Garden and happily spend a little there.

He can't blame it on Facebook. Candy Crush Saga has been in existence for 7 long years, almost 8 in April. They still have not figured out how to fix the Nagging Game Issues. With all the revenues generated from Candy Crush Saga, couldn't they hire Real Trouble Shooters that can make a difference? Look at the complaints that this community gets? It has always been the same. They can't even figure out the Adobe Flash Player. Let's see what happens on December 31, 2020 when Flash is replaced with HTML5!

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. Just downloaded Best Fiends. Looks like a good game. 4.8/5.0 on the app store with over 148K reviews, too. Of course, CC is at 4.7/5.0 with over 1.2M reviews - but I can understand that. I've been playing for over 7 years and would have given a 5 star rating until the past couple of months. The recent changes are solely about greed. So unfortunate and just disappointing. Time to uninstall.

@Ledalasvegas 100% concur with you, and the same nutbag who slanders paying players keeps posting about sportsbet wins like someone cares. Boasting they never spent a cent totally whilst disregarding that this makes everything they say irrelevant to the 'studio' who are on a money grab. And insulting those who made the game possible for them as they go... =nutbag

I used to settle in on a Sunday morning to watch UFC, being in one place at one time for several hours, perfect candy crush time. Would spend maybe $2.99 on a special offer. Maybe even spend $5 on the scrolls, though that too annoyed me... You beat a challenge so now pay for beating it??? You could tell when Activision got involved. Ever since they have been taking an unbroken thing and continuously 'fixing' it until it is now as far as I'm concerned unusable.

Anyway as a result, I would pass anywhere up to 70 levels mostly in one sitting due to strategically resetting the boards - VERY rarely got one I liked first go as is evidenced by the tragedy that the game has become. I could win space race, win weekly friends race, get freebies and free lives. Now, the only positive is I have closed it back down in less than 2 minutes freeing up time for other things.

So I was happy - I could spend $10 on a pint, or less than that on this. Pint is gone in 15 minutes. (3 minutes when it is 115-120 degrees) The rewards for a very little spend on this could last for days for me, which worked out well during my days off with nothing else on.

Back to work for me tomorrow too, so they lost everything they would have made from me in the last month. Hopefully enough people make the stance and just stop doing it too, but each day I care less about it or whether others play or quit.

If you want to play, play. If you want them to change it back, quit. Either way, King Activision have made it abundantly clear in the last month they have no time or respect for the people who paid for this along the way to make it what it is over many years for them , in fact no thanks even, just a "we actually really want more out of you all".

They deserve for it to collapse right before their eyes. Thats it.

Please make your official announcement from the Studio in the next 24 hours. This has gone on way too long. The timing of the “fix” was really in poor taste weeks before the holiday season. Just tell us that the Studio is not going to give us the board reset back and continue to see members dropping every day like the graph has shown since 2015.
