What happened to the extra moves when you click on give up?
Have been able to get them up until game 6203 and with only 23 moves this level definitely needs xtra moves

I wish I knew Carol. Of all the changes made by King this is the one that really makes no sense at all to me. The only result that I can see for this test is loads of complaints from frustrated players.
If King are reducing the amount of lives and not giving extra moves what is the point of playing.
That is something I have said already Carol the double whammy of reduced lives and now no extra moves will surely see players leaving en masse.
I can't imagine that even those who can afford to pay or others who struggle to pay would be happy with this.
That is my guess as to what this test is all about. The only thing that King can be testing by removing the extra moves is to see how many buy moves, or how many stop playing. Nothing else makes sense.
Alternatively this could be their answer to the life limit. The change to the life limit has seriously upset people that buy things for their games and I don't think King saw this coming. I think that by removing or changing the frequency of the extra moves and giving people back the ability to send and receive lives they hope to get those people buying again.

Hi Foxy seeing as last time this happened to you the issue fixed itself all I can suggest is that you stop playing other than to collect the Booster Wheel booster and check that the extra moves feature is back in your game. Obviously you will have to play a level once to check for the extra moves, but I would suggest just play the once and save your boosters & lives until the feature is working again.
I am stuck on a level and have played more than 30 times and never gives me more than 5 more moves for 10 gold bars. I used to get up to 35 more moves.
No bonus moves anymore? Have played the same level 20 times by now and with no bonus moves I see imposible to win. What I can see is that we have to pay every time we play. I feel frustrated and considering leaving the game after many years of fun.

I canāt get more than five moves anymore if I donāt pass the level. Sometimes you need a lot more than five more to finish. Not going to waste 10 gold bars for only 5 moves
Itās not working on my game. I never get more than 5 moves no matter how many times I fail.
Same! Mine have been gone for about a week ow and it is so frustrating because on the harder levels I relied on this function to pass the level. I refuse to buy anything so I have to earn those gold bars, so getting a measly 5 moves now really is a huge disappointment
Iām having the same issue, no extra lives after repeatedly failing a level. I noticed it a few days ago when I was stuck on level 4705 for days, it used to kick in after a few losses but with this level I must have payed it at least 100 times and never got more than 5 extra moves. This is NOT SWEET King games! Found myself playing solitaire grand harvest instead.

I use to pay sometimes when I m really tired and stuck in one level ā¦but for 5 moves? I m not going to pay at all!

you are really forcing players to give up with the game after many years .
Seriously, the reason all these levels are so difficult, because players get frustrated and buy boosters. Is it worth it just to move on to the next nightmare then purchase again! Wake up people, it's a money making scam!
So we are a week into this 'new and exciting update' š I had 1600+ gold bars, all earned not bought, from episode racing challenges and Royalty. I'm way on top in 12,000. Now I have 700 gold bars, so lost half already, can barely advance and I refuse to spend (or I should say lose) more. Can't contribute to my Fav5 team, lost my winning streak with Episode race where I could win 40 gold bars each time. Not to mention I have ZERO possibilities to earn boosters since I have never had any ads in my game. The levels are next to impossible without extra moves. And 5 moves won't help, you do need those 30 moves to pass the most. The answers I get to my complaints to King are a total *. Being fed up is an understatement! Thank you taking all joy out of the game and make it a source of frustration and anxiety.

I can see the issue with basically endless lives from friends and 10 for 35 moves.
Again they handled is poorly by changing BOTH at the same time.
2 for 5 (25 max)
3 for 5 (15 max)
2 for 4 (20 max)
with increments of 5, 5, 4 respectively. Once at the max do the normal 15, 25, 80000 gold increases or whatever they are.
They would still get a lot from the whales, less than now, but a ton more from players, might offset and keep people happy.
Ideally you do not want to totally annoy the free players as with them whales go in the long run.
The way that King is doing is very stupid. If they give us extra moves up to 35, we will buy it with 10 gold bars and we buy gold bars now and then when we get a chance for instance when the piggy bank get full. But now nobody buy gold bars because we can't have a chance to use 35 moves and we can't full the piggy bank either. " 10 gold bars for 5 moves" is ridiculous ! So surely King will make less money. Poor, stupid King!
It is for the whales, to get more gold out of them. The thing is, I think they could get the same result, profit, buy being a little less brutal about it.
Can the test be over yet please?
This ātestā is ridiculous! Explain how this is good for players or King? Players get unbelievably frustrated and King doesnāt make money from the gold bar purchases. This was one hell of a ācongratulations ā on reaching my 10,000th board.
Iām not sure what they are testing but I have run out of patience. I am on level 12136 and have spent lots of money in the last ten years But now itās impossible- for me - to pass some of these levels without more than five extra moves At least being offered up to 35 extra moves for ten bars made a purchase worthwhile But now that option is gone and so am I What a ridiculous thing to do to loyal customers of ten years

That's not how adverts work miller. Advertisers don't get paid each time an advert is watched they make money from trying to get you to buy what they are selling. Advertisers pay King so that they can place adverts in their product. 270 million people, or least a small proportion of that is a lot of people to have watching your adverts. Potentially that means more people watch Candy Crush adverts than TV adverts.
Watch an advert or don't watch an advert it makes no difference as it is the huge the number of people that play Candy Crush that attracts the advertisers.
Top is microsoft bottom is facebook They should be the same ! This proves to me the game is sadly out of whack. Tired of reporting stuff to King.com They claim to be aware issues exist & they are working on it. Always the same story. Fortunately same level. Same email address. yet different life gifts. Should be fixed but I'm learning this game probably gonna remain goofy.
I can't get extra move and I can't send to or get lives from friends at all either.
Candy Crush is definitely getting stressful. They don't like us to enjoy the game?
Same issue for at least a week now. The extra moves you can purchase never increases past the 5. Thatās a game changer and will definitely impact whether or not Iāll be purchasing moves.

I am on level 12211 and I have gotten this far from getting extra moves!!! You have taken away the extra moves and this game is simply not fun anymore. Probably time for me to just quit King all together!!!

Why do they do this? I am not paying, so will plod on until I win my games when they let me, I have no boosters & 12bars so hey ho
Why do they always have to spoil the game for people that do not want to pay? I have no boosters & about 12 bars so I will just keep playing till they finally let me win a game which I have been stuck now for about 40 goes.

Looks like King has a lot of disgruntled players including myself. King seems to only be concerned with how they can screw loyal players over and get more money out of them. I bought a 24 hour special and am stuck on a level and now that the feature to accumulate up to 30 extra moves is gone I am watching my money go down the drain. In the end King is going to end up "screwing the pooch" and lose loyal players, myself included, if they don't restore this feature.
Hopefully the deafening silence of no money being spent will get their attention more than any complaints would.

I was not having a limit on lives but the extra moves stopped accruing a few days ago when I up dated the iOS app. I tried uninstalling & re-installing & lost all my boosters & the extra lives I had in my inbox now too. So I guess this is my signal to quit for good. Itās not fun playing the same level over & over with no way past it. Whether they did it on purpose or itās a glitch Iām hoping this will allow me to break the awful habit that is this game. What will I do with the money I donāt spend on itā¦ š

Thanks again King for not addressing the issue of taking away the feature of accumulating extra moves so you can pass a level. I have now wasted $14.99 plus tax on your 24 hour special because I can't get beyond a certain level due to not being able to get extra moves. You have reached a new low on terrible customer service and beibg greedy. That is the last dime I spend on your game! Players, beware!

This is how much time out of 24 hours of a special that I have left to pass the level I have been stuck on for most of the 24 hours unless I spend even more money on gold bars to get more moves. If they hadn't taken away the feature to accumulate up to 30 moves over several attempts I would have been able to move to the next level.

My guess is they are doing this to maintain a balance. It is easy to forget that King is a business and as part of that business they need to make money to pay their employees, so whilst Candy Crush is free to play and download King do have to find ways of making money from it.
I have said before that I honestly don't think that King understand their customers and I include paying and non-paying customers in that statement. When they introduced the ability for players to send and receive lives so easily I don't think they were prepared for, or expected the change that introduced to people's attitude towards the game and lives. Even I started to play for slightly longer than I used to. One side effect of being able to receive and store 1000 lives that I noticed was that timed boosters suddenly became useable for their full time. In my opinion another side effect of this was unseen by the customer and that was King were losing money. I think because people had more lives than they could use and never run out of, and because they could now fully use a timed booster people started to buy less.
This destroyed the balance of the game for King, so they had to do something about it. This was their second mistake. Having realised that the game is more enjoyable when you can play for as long as you want to people have reacted negatively to the removal of the 'unlimited' lives and the introduction of a storage limit. I don't think King expected this negativity and, having lost money already, I think they found they were losing more money again because the storage limit meant that people that normally didn't mind buying things for their game stopped doing so.
Now King are stuck between a rock and a hard place they have to maintain the balance of the game such that it encourages and rewards people for buying things, but every change they introduce now just highlights how much of a money grab the game actually is. I think they will find that the mistake they made with the storage limits has irreversibly changed people's attitude towards the game.
Balance is also the reason we have lost the level rankings, and the extra moves. It looks like King has decided to return the 'unlimited' lives, but to maintain the game balance they have determined that we can't have 30 free moves and bulk send lives.
This leads us back to King being a business. Non-paying customers can't expect to breeze through the levels as otherwise there would be no incentive for customers to buy. So people have to decide what they want. Unlimited lives from their friends or extra moves and a level ranking that allows the bulk sending of lives. As non-paying customers we can't expect all of those features at the same time.
TLDR: King don't care about changes that only affect non-paying customers.
I asked and the answer I received was that that was a special event and as such is temporary as most of the special events are. According to the person from King, they do this continually, that is, create special events and then get rid of them. No mention of customer input at all.
Since early December I've not had any extra lives awarded , butterflies not collecting. Game just not working as it normally would. I've reinstalled the game 3 times. Please help

Why do I randomly lose my win streaks? I was up to over 2000 win streak and suddenly lost it and had to start over. Now it seems when I hit over 672 win streaks is resets to 0?
