No race between levels 17211 and 17225 and again between levels 17226 and 17240; is this new? There is no way to win gold bars for those that don’t spend money on the game.

Hello @PummyRaj I had the same issue at the end of those episodes near the end of the map. In my game it alternates from either the episode race not showing up at all and having the moving target (the flag shows up and we are promised that the race will start with the next level, but it never happens) . The moving target was present for two episodes and then the flag disappeared again. I have since given up playing at the top of the game as this is not possible without gold from the race. This fault appears to be linked to being near the end of Candy Crush.

iphone 14 device current ios. game version 1.285.0.1 updated 5 days ago. problem started a couple of days before i updated to try to correct problem.
@Alienscar, this is very helpful to know. Thanks so much for the additional information. Since this has been identified as a long standing problem, it would be nice to think that the developers are working on solutions.

We suspect that the reason could be that there are not enough recordings of other players to start the Race but team is going to take a closer look at this 👍

I find it all very strange @christinewupp I've had it happen a few times in the past, but a long time ago, and I didn't believe it was because there wasn't enough recordings of other players either. Think it's more to do with them keep messing around with the system, doing lots of different things, for example adding Yeti's with a bun one end and a stick the other 🤭 They need to stop messing around and concentrate on keeping things simple, oh and add a ⬇️ feature 🤞
I would like to add my own experience to this thread also and I'm not sure the statement that we lose the episode race because there are not enough recordings of other players can be the answer here.
I play on mobile only and I used to reliably get the episode race last time I was at the rainbow end (that is before I gave up at 15,000 when the levels got too boring). After I restarted playing I had the episode race and I was at the top of the game for several weeks until it suddenly disappeared three weeks ago. As we are always two weeks behind Windows players I cannot see how a lack of data from other players can be the issue here, King are finding excuses if that is the reason they give. Since the episode race is a timed event the other players are irrelevant anyway and King could pit us all against the same four players. If @Carol-38 gets the episode race then so should I and everyone else playing on mobile. However, as this does only seem to be an issue for players at the top of the map it probably is related to this somehow, so I will follow your advice @Boybinary and wait. I might play a few old episodes to gather boosters and start the episode race in a brand new game after reinstalling, then log in to my game and see what I find. In the meantime I have two other games to amuse myself with.
Thanks for all those lives @cookiemae ! I do use them, so do appreciate your generosity. But if like me you find that all that mouse clicking and swiping is hard on our aging joints then better lay off a bit. You'll need those joints for next year's All Stars!

Not at all! I personally don't use them because I rarely lose a life only if the game glitches!I have been retired since 2006 myself, I guess I am not as thoughtful as you!
On the lives I have been retired for over 10 years so I don't mind spending an hour giving lives. I do the same as everyone else open and close the game. I used to play on Facebook it really had a lot of issues so now I only play on Windows for my main game and my tablet on the second game. Am I sending to many lives?
I just started doing that in February, I had no gold, now I have about14.5 K just from episode and a few top that but that got old quick! On another note, how do you give so many lives? did you write a script or is it a Facebook thing?
@Boybinary Yup I did that. I didn't do any new levels for 2 weeks. Guess that wasn't long enough. I will give it another try.
That is why I have been hanging back a few episodes and I only play now if the race is available, they try to trick you with that fake start the race flag but if you wait it out eventually it will start!
Hello @dumbledore no what you are experiencing isn't new and the stop/start nature of the Episode Race is a common complaint amongst those players at the end of the map and had been since the release of level 10,000.
My guess is that because you are near to the end of the map and because so few people have completed the Episode that you are in the Episode Race can't work. This is because the Episode Race is a record of how quickly people have completed Episodes rather than being a live race.
@QueenB the issue of the 'flag' appearing and then the Race not starting has been an issue since at least 2021
That's grim @dumbledore . These levels are too difficult to do without some gold bars. I was making some from the gold chocolate box, but it's not enough for one full episode. We do need the episode race to play without spending a fortune. So without it, I am out.
@christinewupp - so sorry to hear this. I have been stuck on 17242 for a few days, no episode rewards in sight and only 4 gold bars. 😩

As I have no boosters to speak of left I will uninstall the app and reinstall next Wednesday to see if that fixes the problem. If not then the rainbow end is not for me.
@QueenB, would it also be possible to check my game? Not sure what information you need from me, but no episode race once level 17211 completed, nor once level 17226 completed Both were promised by the flag on the game board. I appreciate any help you can facilitate.
Hello @dumbledore Yes I do have the same problem. I have also lost my episode race at the end of the map. This is a problem that has been reported in the past as well. Maybe @QueenB can help you with this but would probably need to know your player ID.

And I’m stuck on level 17242, so where does this problem end? If I knew there was a level where the problem with the race ended, I would buy the bars to get me past it. Does anyone know the answer to this? Is there just no episode race any more above a certain level? If that’s the case, I’ll stop wasting my time, and certainly my money.

@christinewupp I wish you worked for king. You really have some great ways to improve the game.
it is now Sept 7 and this has been going on for over two weeks. You will lose players if the Episode Race is not fixed. I for one will not spend another cent and waste my money until it is fixed. I am sure a tech company of this size could fix the issue…if they wanted to. They probably want us to buy unnecessary gold bars.
I hope not! Think of all the good things you could have spent all that money on. What a waste!
My advice to anyone addicted and stuck at the high levels without gold is to delete the app and start a new game at level 1. With your experience you'll zoom through the levels and win every episode race. Then the game will be fun again. How I know it? I've done it ! (more than once)

@queenB and others, I hope that all of you on this thread are experiencing the same as me, my episode race is BACK! It came back on at level 17301. I am very thankful to all of those who have worked on this and hopefully it is a permanent fix. It looks like I am still 6 episodes from the rainbow bridge.
@PummyRaj I have ask many times about my episode race. Since last October it still is not working. I see some people here are saying they have their's back. I do not. I get the fake flag and then no race. Could you check on this again for me? My ID is 14207161654

Good news! 🎉 The issue with the Episode Race has been fixed! Thank you so much for your patience during this time. 😌
However, if you’re still not seeing the Episode Race, don’t worry—it could be due to how the Episode Race works. It might take some time to gather enough players for proper matchmaking, especially at higher levels. All you need to do is wait a bit until the system gathers enough players for your next race.

@Snow_Rider OK but in my game there's 9 people below me between level 17,436 and level 17,459. I am on level 17,459 there are 13 people ahead of me. This is just in my game only. Out of the over 200 million players there has to be a huge number of players in the high level let's say 10%thats enough for me to have the race. So I assumed in the past thinking not enough players were available I stopped playing for 3 weeks still didn't get it. I would feel better if you said it's a test which is the usual answer when you don't have an event because this answer doesn't make any sense to me. @Snow_Rider I was still waiting but the episode race still hasn't started. I did start back playing so I could finish the chocolate box. I am now on level 17,520 still no race with 1 level I have not played yet. New levels in a few hours will be out so I'm pretty sure enough people are high up. My ID is 14207161654. Hi @cookiemae🙋♀️ I just checked the opening post of this thread and it is about "missing episode race" but, not about the glitch in "starting level" of the Episode Race!!
I think that is the reason that the Studio was looking at the complaint about missing episode race for the players near to end of the map!!
I feel it would be better if you could post a new question with explanation and also screenshots (at least 3 should be good)! Please post your complaint in the Support area using this link —> Ask a question in Candy Crush Saga
And, we can ask Christine and all others to post their complaints in that thread (if they are still experiencing this glitch)!

@PummyRaj Thank you for your response. Yes my episode is missing I have already posted screenshots in this feed. Christine responded to my post on the 10th saying she's given up on the race. Yes I posted the flag in my 1s screenshot but the second shot shows no race or flag so it's missing. It's still missing.Thanks for your time I think since I reported my missing race to support and Queen B over a year ago that I just need to continue to play as is.
Then, how about I request the CM to split your complaint along with the screenshots, and create as a new thread? And, move all other complaints about this particular issue to that new discussion?
I believe that this issue needs to be looked at and resolved! Even though, we have only few players here in the Community, we do not know how many players are out there with this glitch!! Not all like to come and post in the Community🤔
I've got to ask this as it just isn't going away: Are King aware that there is glitch in the map graphics for new players this week? FYI the way level 9292 is currently set up, it is impossible to win without paying for gold bars or having some in reserve.
