Since yesterday afternoon I have been unable to play Candy Crush Saga as the play screen is blocked out. Why has this happened and how can it be resolved. Why has there been no notification about it?
I have attached a screen shot of the game screen.

This problem is happening again. Have not been able to play on any brower, via facebook or standalone download. Nothing got done?
I have the same problem
For two days now My game opens up, all the intro happens, spin the wheel etc, and then when it goes to the level it just doesnt open. Its greyed out. I can see the map etc. . Happens both on my iPad and iPhone .

why does frozen screens happen to "tech idiots" who are addicted to the game???? no fun. what am i supposed to do if i cant play?? android phone stuck on the claim reward ... switched it off, let it sit, nothing. still frozen help pleaseeeeee

Whenever I try to play, I just get loading screen and then 'page unresponsive' I play on FB through Chrome. Try downloading Windows 10 app, but again, just get page unresponsive message.
Is this a common problem and what can I do?
On 15025. Freezing at end of game. I left came back hoping better. WORSE !!!!!!! FROZE DURING WINNING MOVE !!! MISTAKE !! GONE. THUS GAME CHEATS !!!!!

I am sorry to hear that your game is affected with the "grey screen" bug!! Unfortunately, certain glitches keep resurfacing even after resolving previously!! And, when the issues are isolated, it takes a while for those glitches to be fixed as it is not easy for the game team to figure out the issue!! But, when an issue appears in your game, if you guys can come here and report the issues to us (just like you did now), we will do out best to resolve the issues.
I have received a complaint on the 19th, and another one on 20th. I have reported to our Candy Community In-charge and she immediately elevated to the game Studio. Now, we have a thread that is under investigation --> Please Check HERE (click on the Green letters to read the updates & comments).
Your question will be merged with that thread by tomorrow, as we like to keep all the questions pertaining to one particular issue in a single thread!
Coming back to your question, you said the issue is affecting both your phone and laptop. Thank you for clarifying that you have tried both Chrome & Firefox.
Can you please tell me what is the make & model of your phone?

With regards to the missing events, there has been a glitch from a while that is affecting some of the players' games!!
But, there is a trick to bring back the all the features (that are available to us). Please follow these steps --> Replay one or two old levels -- win or lose does not matter -- go back to the map screen and open the Events folder -- all the events along with Daily Treat Machine will appear again.
Note: You might have to do this everyday - when you open the game for the first time of the day. Later, the events won't disappear.
Hope this trick works for you also to bring back the events🤞🤞

over the past 3 weeks my screen on Candy Crush Saga has frozen numerous times.
I have deleted the app in order to get back my game but this has worked temporarily with it freezing again a day or so later. It did it again last night and did the necessary delete app etc and it froze straight away.
it’s becoming frustrating to keep doing this and I’ve been playing the game for years and this has only happened recently over the last 3 weeks.
Also when it does come back I do not get my daily treat option - takes about a couple of days to return - well that’s it if hasn’t frozen again in the meantime !
Any other suggestions that I can do to get my game back without freezing ?

Quick update........Im now having issues on my iPhone App too. the game loads, I play the level and when its over it greys over on the transition page. I have to close the app and start again. it opens up at the correct place, but i now have to do this after every game........

I have tried both on my Computer through Facebook but also on my Android phone but have the same screen as shown in the above screen shot that stops me playing on either device.
Any reply from Moderators? I still cannot play the game and yet nothing has been done and no reply response that is helpful. I am not the only player with this issue. Please look into this and respond.
Whenever I try to play Candy Crush Saga, I get the first part to claim a reward, then nothing. I get a grey screen over the board, which does not go away. I have left the game switched on for an hour in the hope that I will be able to play, but nothing. Clearly there is a problem. It has been like this for 3 days now.

We have reported this to the developers who will have a look at this and in the meantime, we ask if you can check if the game app is up to date and try restarting the device and on your computer, could you test a different browser and see if the same thing happens?

Ok, So I only use Firefox and Candy Crush is greyed out and unplayable. I have just downloaded Microsoft Edge and Candy Crush works OK. This is of no use to me as I only use Firefox. All my Bookmarks etc and saved passwords are within Firefox. Firefox automatically updates but I checked and yes it's fully updated. There appears to be an issue for the Programmers with Candy Crush and Firefox.

Thank you for checking the game another browser. I understand about the bookmarks and saved passwords. I am just like you with Chrome browser, and that is my "go to browser" for everything😀

Why hasn't this issue been fixed yet? It's been over 24 hours since I've been able to play Candy Crush - it's not affecting any other games. Anybody else having the same issue?
Hello @kimski21, yes other people have reported the same issue as you. Do you use the Firefox browser?.
All you can do is wait and hope that King resolve the issue quickly.

Just for information, Candy Crush is not working in Microsoft Edge now either with the same greyed out screen as in Firefox stopping any game play.
