King.com issue: Why can't I send or receive lives/help on Candy Crush Saga?

    I'm hoping for a better response than I've received so far; only got the "try these steps" form email that indicates nobody actually read my original message. 
    I'm playing on a Windows 10 desktop, using Chrome and do NOT use/have Facebook, but rather play by way of the King.com site.  I'm using a custom built desktop with massive resources and know my way around a computer well enough to know that my difficulties do NOT originate with my machine, my browser or my ability to operate either of those. 
    For over a week now, I have not been able to send or receive lives or receive help from friends to unlock the next episode.  When the "Ask Friends" window comes up, the "All Friends" tab is blank, the "Candy Friends" tab has player listed, all checked and when I click to send, the window disappears, but nothing happens.  Previous to the most recent update, when I asked friends for help, I got a completely different window with all friends listed and the option to select all.  I always selected that option, clicked send, and the next day I would have lives from friends and the required help to unlock the next episode. 
    Telling me to use Chrome when I already indicated that I do use it is not very helpful.  Telling me to clear my cache when I stated that the cache is automatically cleared when the browser closes is also not helpful.  What would be helpful is to fix the damage done by that last update. I specifically asked if, if the event I elected to download the Microsoft Store app for CC, would I lose my progress and have to start over at level 1 (unwilling to do that unless I get to keep my boosters and have access to the owl quest part of the game) and that question was not answered, so I've not downloaded the app. Giving me gold bars as compensation was very nice, but doesn't fix the problem. 
    I've not been playing forever, but have passed 515 levels and am sitting, waiting aimlessly to open the next episode.  It's been going on long enough that I just open the game, see that I still have no help, still stuck waiting to play the next episode and no extra lives from friends, then move on to the next thing without playing at all. 
    That last update affected another couple of my games as well, so I'm reaching the "fed up" level of frustration.  It's bad enough that desktop-users don't get daily rewards in Soda Crush Saga or Bubble Witch 2 Saga, cannot play quests in Candy Crush Saga,.Alpha Betty or Farm Heroes Super Saga; now the update has fixed it so that the only parts of the game that made it even marginally worth playing have gone belly-up as well.
    As a result, I'm no longer spending money on these games and spending a LOT more time on Netflix and Hulu; at least those work as advertised/expected.

    @angiehere, when you say the owl quest, do you mean the night time section where you you have a new path and have to keep the owl balanced between 2 colors? That section of the game is not available anymore. If you update, you will definitely lose that.

    @angiehere, you have a lot of issues so let's address them individually.  Regarding the lives on king.com, there is an issue and it has been elevated to the studio.  The community moderator asked us to forward any messages posted here from players who are having this problem on king.com so I just gave her this message link.

    Regarding you playing the game on Windows 10, that is the ONLY way that I play the game!  Just download the game app from the Microsoft store.  I am not sure if your boosters or lives would transfer to the game app but I know that the gold bars would.  Now regarding your question about losing your progress if you go to Windows 10, you shouldn't lose it at all because all that you have to do is open the game app and then log in with your king.com email address and password.  Your progress should be there.  If, by some freaky chance it's not, don't worry because I can give you further information on how to get your progress back.

    I wonder if you change where you play the game, that you don't have the lives problems or trying to collect the tickets for the next episode.  Please try to load it and let's see what happens.  Also have you been getting all the events through king.com?  I know what Windows 10 you will get all that is available for you.

    Regarding the "owl quest" are you referring to the old "Dreamworld".  Odus would balance on a scale and you had to be very careful what colors you used because you could tip him off the scale which I did constantly!  They got rid of that a long time ago.  If it's not this event then please describe it more.

    Also you should be playing CC Soda Saga also on Windows 10 because then you could play Mr. Toffee's Fair, although some have the quests.  It's either one or the other.

    Please let me know if i answered everything and if not, please let me know what else I need to address.

     I'm at level 4489 and for the last couple days my email icon is blank and I cannot send or receive lives.  I cannot find any type of toggle switch that allows these emails to be sent or lives to be at it again. Can you and help?

    I have the same problems as: Angiehere.

    Use king.com site to play
    No Facebook 
    ALL friends GONE. 
    Not on player board.
    Not in 'Ask Friends for Lives'.
    Just GONE. 
    All I did was log out using correct procedure and then immediately  log back in.  POOF!
    Previously I had been logged in (a year? ) and just used the icon on WIN 10 task bar to open to play. 
    I didn't change anything on my PC.
    It was literally off/on.  Gone.

    Hi guys, there is a problem with anyone playing the game on king.com.  The lives is not working correctly and it has already been elevated to the studio.  We are waiting for a fix.

    I am still not able to send or receive lives playing on King.com.  Would sure like for King.com to fix this problem before they lose all their players.  I don't plan to purchase bars to continue playing.  What can we do to get this fixed?  Any ideas?

    jmorgison , zit in hetzelfde schuitje . Voel me ook benadeelt en er komt inderdaad geen schot in de zaak .Welk alternatief je ook gebruikt Facebook of King .com de lat moet voor beiden toch even hoog liggen ?

    Same exact complaint here; same time frame and cannot progress w/o "tickets from friends, etc." to unlock the next episode. I play on Windows 7 with no plans to upgrade to 10 in the near future.  I too have no Facebook interaction and was quite frustrated with King responding it having to do with a Facebook issue since I repeatedly said I don't take to Facebook. I too hope King corrects this problem shortly and things are back to the way they were, otherwise, as others have suggested, have to find another way to occupy free time! I would miss CC though!

    We're sorry to have this problem. Not only you, many are suffering from this problem. We have already told the king team about the problem and they will solve it.
    We do not have any new information about this at the moment. So you'll have to wait until the next update comes.
