To be clear I prefer the change just be reversed but in lieu of that...How about changing the "starting boosters" to be like the ones you can use in the game (like hammer or hand switch)? Although it would allow user placed combinations, it also may help revenue as users that do pay for the game would likely buy more in order to be able to make combos they want during the game. It also would possibly reduce frustration - resetting over and over and over gets equally tedious to playing levels over and over and over. Players can choose to take their chances with the free bot or use stockpiled boosters (or pay for boosters when they run out) to pass difficult levels. With all the higher levels being pretty difficult with no combos it might get you revenue boost you want and provide more options for all players on how to use boosters and bot.Just a thought - I figured if I'm gonna complain I might as well bring a solution to the table. I don't know the intricacies of your code but having worked in IT for part of me career this may not be that hard to change - screen real estate might be biggest issue....

Do you use the iCloud to back-up your files? Do you know that you can also buy an iPad Memory Card to transfer some of your files to free-up space? To ensure the change is a positive one, a randomly chosen group of players is always selected to trial a new feature. We then look closely at how the change has been viewed and then decide if it's something we want to permanently implement in the game or not, and when this happens sometimes the event or feature will be removed temporarily. .
