We are currently investigating why some players are not able to receive Lives in the game.
Please note that there is a capacity limit now in the Lives, find more info HERE. If you are under your limit though, you should be able to receive new Lives from friends.
We are looking into this issue why no Lives are received of some players.
We will keep you updated on this on the thread here.

This issue with Lives is now fixed!
Please note that there is a limit on how many lives you can store and how many you can send between lives friends per day.

My messages envelope is always open/empty. I have requested lives dozens of times in daily play and never received any, and there is no way for me to send lives, nor do I ever receive requests for lives. I have updated my app and that didn't change anything. This was not the case when I played in the past. What has changed?

Please troubleshoot by updating - rebooting - restarting etc.

Please do the standard trouble shooting by log out, update your game application, restart your device and login, if playing through browser please clear cache/ history. And login again.

If you playing this game through Facebook connection,it may also be that you are having problems keeping the game connected to Facebook so please also try the following steps:
1. Please download the latest version of Facebook and the game from the App Store.
2. Check if you have the latest software and app version on your device.
3. It's also worth disconnecting your game from Facebook, force closing all apps, restarting your device and then reconnecting to Facebook.
4. Try to use a WiFi connection instead of using your cellular data when opening the game.
Also, don't forget to make sure that the game has access to your Facebook friends list since this permission will automatically expire from time to time. If the game hasn't the access all lives will stay blocked. Check here for more help on this.

It may be possible your friends are not choosing to send you lives for a while. Sometimes this happens to me.

Thanks to all of you for the help. I did all the updating, rebooting, restarting and had consulted the helpful link that kiara_wael and Sukanta_Biswas also provided. I am playing on a mobile device, not connected to FB, so these are not friends I know IRL. I think Lindark may be correct. Maybe when we are at higher levels with more experience, others in my group will be more interested in giving and requesting lives. Since there were no other answers I hadn't addressed, I will assume the game is working as it should. I was worried that others' requests might not be getting to me, but it looks like this is not a problem others are having.

Do you mean you are not gaining one life every half hour? Try rebooting your phone :)
